INSTALLATION MANUAL

13.0 APPLYING GREASE TO THE PTT

12.16.1 

Make sure that the transmission gear oil flows out through the transmission vent plug hole  

   

before you stop putting the transmission gear oil.

12.17.0 

Install and tighten the transmission vent plug with a new Dowty washer, add torque to 15Nm.

12.18.0 

Remove the gear oil filler tool.

12.19.0 

Install and tighten the transmission oil drain plug with a new Dowty washer, torque to 15Nm.

12.20.0 

Remove all remaining oil on the transmission housing with a degreasing agent. Make sure that  

   

you clean the degreasing agent with a paper towel.

13.1.0 

Turn the outboard electric circuit breaker to the ON position (Refer to Figure 13.1).

13.2.0 

Tilt the outboard up fully and listen for smooth motor operation and movement between  

   

trim and tilt.

13.3.0 

Engage the tilt locks and put the outboard on the tilt locks.

13.4.0 

Prepare a grease gun with an outlet hose and make sure that the size of the hose is applicable  

   

to the grease nipple (refer to Figure 13.4).
