6 - START-UP
6.5 - Ignition
1. - Power up the appliance and open the gas supply;
2. - Press the "T" button (Figure 51);
3. - Adjust the desired temperature from the heating service
using the keys
and
;
4. - Display shows the icon
("E" Figure 51);
- Icon
fixed: central heating inactive;
- Icon
flashing: central heating in operation;
- If the icon
flashes but the radiators still do not
heat up, bleed the air from the radiators again;
5. - Adjust the desired temperature for the domestic hot
water service using the keys
and
;
6. - Display shows the icon
("F" Figure 51);
- Icon
fixed: domestic hot water inactive;
- Icon
flashing: domestic hot water service in use;
7. - The command and control equipment will start up the
burner;
8. - If the ignition does not occur within 20 seconds, the
appliance automatically retries the ignition three times,
after which if it continues to not light, it locks and the
display will indicate
Loc 1
;
9. - Press the RESET button to restore normal operating
conditions;
10. - The appliance will automatically attempt a new
ignition;
11. - Once started correctly, the appliance will continue to
operate for the requested service;

6.6 - Check the supply gas pressure
1. - Turn off electricity to the appliance and close the gas
supply;
2. - Remove the casing from the appliance (section 8.3);
3. - Loosen pressure point “A” (Figure 46);
4. - Connect a manometer with a resolution of at least 0,1
mbar (1 mmH2O) to it;
5. - Power up the appliance and open the gas supply;
6. - Switch on the appliance;
7. - Check that the pressure does not exceed the value
given in the table in section 9 under “Gas supply
maximum pressure”;
8. - Make sure that any valve and thermostatic valves after
the central heating circuit are open;
9. - Access the “installer” profile (section 7.16);
10. - Set parameter
0200
to
HI
;
11. - Now the burner will operate at maximum power for 10
minutes;
a
WARNING!!! When forcing the supply
temperature, it automatically goes to 93°C to dispose
of as much of the heat generated by the appliance
as possible. Check that the central heating system
can support this temperature. If during forcing, the
power supplied by the appliance is much higher than
the power absorbed by the system, the appliance
switches off continuously to reach the maximum
temperature allowed (93°C). To overcome this
problem, it is necessary to set the heating power,
to the actual need of the system, as dictated in the
chapter 6.8.
12. - Check that the pressure does not drop to a value
lower than the “Gas supply minimum pressure” given
in the table in section 9. If the supply pressure does
not respect the values described, operate on the
system before the appliance in order to bring it back to
within the minimum and maximum range;
13. - Access the “installer” profile (section 7.16);
14. - Set parameter
0200
to
OFF
;
15. - Close the pressure point “A” again as in Figure 46;
16. - Check for any gas leaks at the pressure point using
suitable tools;
a
WARNING!!! Perform the gas leak test using a
leak detection fluid only. The use of naked flames is
prohibited.
