Resetting Service Reminder
CAUTION!
Risk of damage to equipment!
DO NOT reset the service reminder unless the scheduled maintenance has been performed
.
Reset the service reminder in the control software as follows after performing the required scheduled
maintenance:
1. Select the <
Main Menu
> button on the Home screen, then enter the password to login. Refer to
.
2. Select
Service
>
General Service
tab >
Reset Service Reminder
. A reset dialog appears and
prompts you to confirm the reset.
3. Select the <
Yes
> button on the confirmation screen. The maintenance warning and the service
reminder messages are reset.
Select the <
No
> button at any time to abort the reset.

Installing Software Updates
All software updates can be downloaded from the Downloads link on
. Download the file
and extract it to a USB memory stick that has been formatted to 32-bit FAT system. The software update
file (ending with .bin) should be located at the root level on the USB stick.
Note:
If software updating is accidentally interrupted, the humidifier will not operate. However, updating
can be resumed by leaving the USB key inserted in the board and power cycling the unit. The integrated
control board will detect that the software was not installed properly, and restart the updating.
Install the updates for the control software as follows:

Nortec GS is mains powered. Live parts may be exposed when the door panel is re

moved. Touching live parts may cause severe injury or even death.
Prevention
:
Shut down the humidifier properly at the external disconnect switch before accessing
the integrated control board in the humidifier.
1. Set the On/Off button to the Off position.
2. Disconnect the power supply to the humidifier at the external disconnect switch. To prevent accidental
power-up, lockout and tag out according to the established safety practices at your facility.
3. Remove the door panel on the control cabinet – refer to
"Removal and Installation of Access Panels" on
4. Swing the front panel open.
5. Carefully insert the USB memory stick into the USB port. Make sure that the maximum length of the
memory stick does not exceed 3 in (75 mm).
6. Close the front panel, and install the door panel.
7. Remove the lock and tag from the external disconnect switch, and restore power to the humidifier.
8. Set the On/Off button to the On position.
9. When the Home screen appears, select the
<MAIN Menu>
button, then enter the password to login.
