System Board Battery
Jumper Settings
The system board allows you to add an external battery, if the battery
embedded on the board fails. Jumper header E2 on the system board selects
between the internal battery and an external battery. Placing the jumper on
pins 5-6 selects the internal battery. Placing the jumper on pins 4-5 selects the
external battery. See Appendix A, “Installing a New Battery,” for more
specific information.
Backplane Board Battery
Jumper Settings
The expansion slot backplane board has an internal battery and allows you to
add a battery external to the backplane board itself. Jumper header E1 on the
backplane board allows the selection of a battery external to the backplane
board. Placing the jumper on pins 1-2 selects the internal battery. Placing the
jumper on pins 2-3 selects the external battery. See Appendix A, “Installing a
New Battery,” for more specific information.
