5.4.3 Loading a standard “By name”
The third method is by name; in
this mode the software checks
the available names and lists
only the characters that come in
question. This makes loading a
standard quick and very easy.
A short message communicates
that the standard has been suc-
cessfully loaded
The device automatically returns to
the
“Scan sample”
window and
the active standard is displayed in
the status bar
5.5 Sample measurement
Before measuring a sample a reference standard colour
must be measured
[5.2 Standard measurement]
or
selected from the internal memory.
Open from the main menu the
“Measure”
window. Move
the cursor to the
“Scan sample”
position using the
navigation keys.
Place the probe head on the sample
[see 4.9 Probe head
handling]
. The sample can now be scanned by slowly
lowering the probe head to trigger or press the
“ENTER”
key and follow instructions.
