6-2 Operation
NOTE:
When the gear shift is in the Neutral (N)
position, see if the “N” light on the display
is lit up. If not, check circuits on the ATV.
4. Turn the ignition switch to
“
ON
”
and
the engine stop switch to
“ ”
.
5. Press the “Start” button, then the engine
should start.
CAUTION:
Read the

Engine break-in
”
section prior
to operating the engine for the first time.
Starting a warm engine
To start a warm engine, refer to the
“
Starting a cold engine
”
section.
Warming the engine
To obtain the maximum engine life, always
warm up the engine before starting off.
Never accelerate hard with a cold engine!
To correctly warm the engine, drive 2 miles
(3 km) using one third throttle, or drive 3
minutes at 2000 rpm.
Engine shut down
Press the emergency shut off button in and
then the engine will shut down.
Or turn the ignition key to “OFF”, which will
turn off the engine as well.
Recommended procedure for turning
off the engine
1. Stop the ATV;
2. Turn off the left handlebar emergency
shut down button to stop the engine;
