Spring Adjustment Principles:
When there is only the operator riding on a flat
road, adjust the shock absorbers to be a little
softer.
Driving at higher speeds or on level surfaces
or flat roads, adjust the shock absorber to be
a little stiffer.
For off-road, adjust the shock absorber to be
fairly stiff.
At full load, adjust the shock absorber to be
the stiffest it will go.

Improper shock absorber adjustment.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Uneven adjustment can cause poor handling
and loss of stability, which could lead to an
accident.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Always adjust the shock absorbers on the left
and right side to the same setting.
Adjust the spring as follows:
To increase the spring preload turn the
adjusting ring counter-clockwise (direction a).
To decrease the spring preload turn the
adjusting ring clockwise (direction b).
