speed sensor fault code to the consol.
When ECU detects its own fault and is
not working normally, the EPS fault
indicator light will illuminate on the
consol. The ECU will also send the ECU
fault code to the consol.
Inspect the EPS system each day before
operation. Inspect the following:
1. Inspect steering, make sure all
mechanical parts are operating properly.
Inspect handlebars, make sure all bolts
are tight.
Move steering left and right, inspect for
looseness or squeaking. If a defect is
found, repair or replace.
Steering wheel’s range of free
clearance is

0-15mm

0-0.59in.

If the free clearance is over range, check
parts below, if any defect is found, repair or
replace.
Steering tie-rod ball heads. Inspect for
excessive play, if worn, replace tie rods.
Inspect gear track on steering for
excessive wear, if worn, replace.
Inspect spline connection sleeve for
excessive looseness, if worn, replace.
Inspect input and output shaft from
reducer, if worn, replace.
