Cleaning and Storage 10-1
Cleaning
Keeping the ATV clean will not only keep the
ATV looking nice but will extend the life of the
ATV.
Before cleaning ATV:
●
Bock the end of exhaust pipe to avoid
water from entering. Place a plastic bag over
the end with a rubber band or strong tape if
available.
●
Make sure the spark plug and oil tank cap
are secure and have been installed correctly.
If there is grime built up on any portion of the
ATV use a small brush to clean it away. Use
a garden hose to rinse.
CAUTION:
The use of high pressure sprayers (power
washers, car wash sites) can damage the
ATV. Water can enter seals, wheel bearings
and electrical components. To avoid damage
to the ATV use low pressure when rinsing off
ATV.
Use warm water with a auto grade soap to
clean ATV. Do not use harsh soaps such as
dish soaps, or abrasive soaps.. An old
toothbrush or other type of a soft bristled
brush is good for hard to reach places.
Rinse off ATV with clean fresh water. Make
sure not to use high pressure when rinsing.
Wipe dry with a soft leather chamois or a
clean absorbent towel. .
