GENERAL INSTALLATION WARNINGS AND MAINTENANCE PLAN
13. Faults and solutions
For any faults not covered in this table, contact the service centre
Fault
Cause
Solution
The fan does not
rotate
Power failure
Check the main switch
Unit controller Off
Switch on the controller
If a minimum temperature probe is fitted, the
water temperature does not reach operating
temperature
Check the boiler/heat pump/chiller.
Check the thermostat setting
The fan turns too
slowly
Controller set to low speed
Select a higher speed
Electric motor capacitor partially or fully dis-
charged
Check the capacitance in µF of the capacitor and
replace it if necessary
Lubricant depleted inside the bushes and
bearings
Replace the motor or the fan assembly
Low air supply flow
Incorrect fan speed setting
Select the right fan speed on the controller
Filter clogged
Clean the filter
Air flow obstruction (intake and/or supply)
Remove the obstruction
The fan always runs
at high speed
Possible malfunction of the autotransformer
Check correct connection of the autotransformer to
the line and that relays have been used in the event
of parallel connection of multiple devices
The appliance does
not heat the room
No hot water:
Check the boiler/heat pump and the circulating pump
Incorrect setting on the control panel
Set the control panel correctly
Air flow obstruction (intake and/or supply)
Remove the obstruction
The water valve actuator does not open
Check correct connection of the actuator and replace
it if necessary
The appliance does
not cool the room
No chilled water:
Check the chiller and circulating pump
Incorrect setting on the control panel:
Set the control panel correctly
Air flow obstruction (intake and/or supply)
Remove the obstruction
The water valve actuator does not open
Check correct connection of the actuator and replace
it if necessary
Water leaks
Specified slopes not complied with during
installation
Change how the appliance is installed
Condensate drain blocked
Clean the condensate drain
Condensate drain hose is not sloped
Change the slope of the condensate drain hose (>
3°)
No drain trap in the condensate drain hose
Place a suitable drain trap on the appliance’s con-
densate drain line
Water circuit connection pipes not insulated or
partially insulated
Correctly insulate the chilled water pipes
Condensate forms on
the structure
The limit temperature and humidity conditions
have been reached, the appliance has been in-
stalled recently and the walls transpire moisture
Increase the water temperature
The appliance has been recently installed in
a newly-finished room and the walls transpire
moisture
Increase the water temperature temporarily and wait
for the next summer season. When heating in winter,
the walls release all of the excess moisture in the
plaster
The condensate drain
pump does not drain
the water
Condensate pump not working
Replace the condensate drain pump
The pump works but
cannot drain the con-
densate
Condensate drain hose blocked, excessive
hose height
Remove any obstructions, reduce the hose discharge
height
