INTAKE GRILL AND AIR DISTRIBUTION
Intake grills, frame and manually adjustable distribu-
tion louvres on each side, made from synthetic materi-
al (ABS), colour white RAL 9003.
INTERNAL SUPPORT STRUCTURE
Made from galvanised sheet metal, class-M1 polyeth-
ylene closed-cell foam insulation on the inside surface
(10 mm thick) and anti-condensation barrier on the
outside surface.
CONTROL DEVICES
A box installed outside of the appliance houses the
electronic control board, pump management and
inverter board (for the i-CXW version). The connection
terminals are easily accessible.
FAN ASSEMBLY (a-CXW models)
The motor-fan assembly, suspended on vibration
dampers, features particularly silent operation.
Radial fan with single-side intake, designed to opti-
mise performance using specially-shaped airfoil
blades that reduce turbulence, increasing efficiency
and minimising noise. The fans are coupled to a sin-
gle-speed electric motor whose windings are designed
to optimise performance and limit energy consump-
tion. Single-phase motor, operating voltage 230 V /
50-60 Hz, class B insulation and built-in circuit break-
er. Fan speed is controlled using an autotransformer:
3 different output voltages are connected.
FAN ASSEMBLY (i-CXW models)
The motor-fan assembly, suspended on vibration
dampers, features particularly silent operation.
Radial fan with single-side intake, designed to opti-
mise performance using specially-shaped airfoil
blades that reduce turbulence, increasing efficiency
and minimising noise.
The fans are coupled to brushless, permanent magnet
synchronous EC motors, with three-phase power sup-
ply, controlled by a reconstructed current signal with a
sinusoidal waveform (BLAC). The inverter board that
controls operation of the motors is powered at 230
volts, single-phase, and uses a switching system to
generate a three-phase power supply with modulated
frequency and waveform. The unit thus requires a sin-
gle-phase power supply, with voltage of 230 V / 50 Hz.
HEAT EXCHANGER COIL (a-CXW models)
Made up of copper pipes and suitably-shaped alumini-
um fins, joined to the pipes by mechanical flaring.
The heat exchanger is not suitable for use in corrosive
atmospheres or in environments where aluminium
may be subject to corrosion.
HEAT EXCHANGER COIL (i-CXW models)
Made up of copper pipes and suitably-shaped alu-
minium fins, joined to the pipes by mechanical flaring.
Available with 2 or 3 rows in the version for two-pipe
systems, and 2+1 rows for four-pipe systems (the hot
row is the one on the inside).
For 4-pipe systems, two different series are availa-
ble: the i-CXW 0504 and 0804 series, with priority to
heating, and the i-CXW 0604, 0704, 1104 series, with
priority to cooling.
The heat exchanger is not suitable for use in corrosive
atmospheres or in environments where aluminium
may be subject to corrosion.
CONDENSATE COLLECTION PAN
Made from ABS welded to high density polystyrene
foam, with specially-shaped preformed openings to
optimise air flow. DIN 4102 flammability class B1.
Additional drain pan supplied standard with the units.
CONDENSATE DRAIN PUMP
Centrifugal pump with 650 mm available pressure
head, controlled directly by the electronic board and
combined with a float system to control condensate
level and activate alarms.
FILTER
Regenerable, washable synthetic filter with easy
access.
VALVE ASSEMBLY
Two or three-way ON-OFF 230 V valves, complete
with fittings, pre-installed.
