Changing the Regional Codes
Go to the Control Panel in WindowsXP/2000 and double-click Sys-
tem, click Device Manager, then click the + Next to DVD/CD-
ROM drives. Double-click on the DVD-ROM device to bring up the
Properties menu, and select the DVD Region (tab) to bring up the
control panel as seen in “DVD Regional Codes” on page 2 - 8 (See
sidebar note).

If you are using

then you will need
to use your DVD soft-
ware player to change
the region code.
Insert the DVD and
then run your software
DVD application. The
application should then
detect that the DVD is
from a different region
than that assigned by
your device.
