Configuring Content Filtering to Allow or Block Web
Components
The security appliance supports a content filtering option that you can use to
block access to certain Internet sites. Up to 32 key words can be specified for
filtering. The type of keywords you can specify include web site URL, newsgroup
name, etc.
STEP 1
Click
Firewall
on the menu bar, and then click
Content Filtering > Content
Filtering
in the navigation tree.
The Content Filtering page appears.
STEP 2
In the
Content Filtering Enable
area, check the box to enable content filtering or
uncheck the box to disable content filtering. Content filtering must be enabled to
configure and use features such as a list of Trusted Domains, keyword filtering, and
so on.
STEP 3
In the
Web Components
area, check the box for any component that you want to
block.

Proxy:
Check this box to block proxy servers, which can be used to
circumvent certain firewall rules and thus present a potential security gap.
•
Java:
Check this box to block applets can be prevented from being
downloaded from internet sites.
•
ActiveX:
Check this box to prevent ActiveX controls from being
downloaded via Internet Explorer.
•
Cookies:
For added security, check this box to block cookies, which
typically contain session information.
STEP 4
Click
Apply
to save your settings, or click
Reset
to revert to the saved settings.
