3.7 Cutting Operations Cont.
1. Tilt the front of the deck 1 to 2 feet above horizontal.
Note: Safety chain will limit height
of the cutter deck.
2. Slowly drive into the tree to allow the push bar to bend the tree while cutting. See
Figure 3.7a on the next page.
3. Lower the skid steer arms and repeat step #2 until tree is cut to desired height.
4. With the tree branches on the ground, tilt the front of the cutter deck up and drive
forward of the branches.
5. Tilt the front of the cutter deck down and back drag the cutter over the branches.
6. Repeat steps #4 and #5 as necessary.

Cutting Small Trees (Up To 7” Diameter)
When cutting trees beware of the direction of fall to avoid the tree from
crashing on to your skid steer loader.
The X-treme Tree Reaper Brush Cutter is designed to cut trees up to 7 inches thick. Use the
push bar to push tree while cutting.
NOTE: The optional mulching teeth should be installed to achieve the
best mulching results.
