Section 6: Firmware
6.1.2 Installation of the Firmware Upgrade Utility
1. Get into FW upgrade mode.
a. Power off the projector.
b. On the keypad, hold the
U
P
arrow and then hold
P
OWER
.
c. Release both keys when the 3 status LEDs begin to flash between green and red.
d. Connect the PC and projector with the USB cable.
2. Install the USB driver.
a. Click on Found New Hardware Wizard .
b. Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) .
c. Click Next .
d. Select Don’t search, I will choose the driver to install .
e. Click Next .
f. Select the driver.
g. Click Next .
h. When the installation is complete, click Finish .
3. Disconnect the USB cable from both the PC and the projector.
6.1.3 Firmware Upgrade Procedure
1. Execute FlashUpgrader_x32.exe .
NOTE:
“x32”
means the firmware can be upgraded on a Windows
32 bit operating system. If your PC is operating in
Windows 64 bit, please use “x64” firmware.
2. Select APP_SPI.inf in the Flash File drop-down list.
3. Select USB 2.0 in the Connection drop-down list.
4. Click Flash .
5. Connect the PC and projector with the USB cable.
NOTE:
The firmware upgrade procedure will begin
automatically. When complete, the FlashUpgrader
will display “Programming Complete”.
6. Set the projector to Factory Mode and verify that it
is running the updated firmware version. Example “B21.37”.
