8. Pull out metal cover to remove from projector.
9. Cut plastic ties (2) securing cables to fan base.
10. Remove screws (4) securing fan to base. See Figure 5-20 .
11. Remove Fan assembly.
12. Remove defective fan from rubber boot. Note routing of harness cable through rubber boot opening. See
Figure 5-21 .
13. Replace fan in rubber boot.
14. Place fan assembly onto fan base.
15. Install screws (4) to secure fan assembly to fan base
16. Insert new plastic ties (2) through fan base.
17. Tighten plastic ties to secure cables to fan base.
18. Route cable through cable clips.
