Section 5: Parts and Module Replacement
6. Pull edge of frame to release fan. See Figure 5-17 .
7. Remove fan.
8. Remove rubber gasket from fan and install on new fan. See Figure 5-18 .
9. Install new fan(s) in frame.
10. Install frame into the projector chassis.
11. Install screws (2).
12. Route harness cables through proper retaining clips.
13. Connect harnesses.
5.2.15Lamp Exhaust Fan
Replacement Time: 45 minutes
Procedure:
1. Remove Top Cover. See 5.2.5 Top Cover .
2. Remove Top Shield. See 5.2.7 Top Shield .
3. Remove Lamp Assemblies. See 5.2.4 Lamp Assembly .
4. Remove Rear Exhaust Fans. See steps 4 & 5 of 5.2.14 Rear Exhaust Fans .
5. Disconnect harness (Fan 8) from Connector-A Board.
6. Disconnect harness (Fan 9) from Connector-B Board.
7. Remove screws (4) securing metal cover. See Figure 5-19 .
