6.3 Oil specifications
Rotair Plus
Rotair oil is a specially developed lubricant for use in single stage oil-injected screw compressors. Its specific
composition keeps the compressor in excellent condition. Rotair oil can be used for compressors operating
at ambient temperatures between 0 ˚C (32 ˚F) and 40 ˚C (104 ˚F). If the compressor is regularly operating in
ambient temperatures between 40 °C and 46 °C (115 °F), oil lifetime is reduced significantly. In such case it
is recommended to use RXD oil.
Rotair Xtra
RXD oil is a high-quality synthetic lubricant for oil-injected screw compressors which keeps the compressor
in excellent condition. RXD oil can be used for compressors operating at ambient temperatures between 0 ˚C
(32 ˚F) and 46 ˚C (115 ˚F) (see section Service kits).
Rotair FoodGrade
Special oil, delivered as an option.
Foodgrade oil is a unique high quality synthetic lubricant, specially created for oil-injected screw compressors
that provide air for the food industry. This lubricant keeps the compressor in excellent condition. Foodgrade
oil can be used for compressors operating at ambient temperatures between 0 ˚C (32 ˚F) and 40 ˚C (104 ˚F).
Important
Never mix oils of different brands or types.
