When the ink stops dripping, use a swab to wipe the inside of the valve tip clean as some ink can
remain inside and drip out later when the printer is in motion.

With the Maintenance station drawer still open, hold a 1.0 liter container with a small funnel
under the Spit waste tray valve.

Rotate the spit tray waste valve knob counter-clockwise until the white line is horizontal and the
ink begins to flow out.

When the ink stops dripping out, rotate the spit tray waste valve knob clockwise until it is fully
closed and the white line is vertical.
