LCD Messages
See the table below when the LCD displays error messages.
Message Description Action
CARTRIDGE COVER
OPEN
CLOSE CRG. COVER The cartridge cover is open. Close the cartridge cover.
CHECK SCAN PLATFORM The scanning platform is
dirty, or not set into scanning
position. Clean the scanning area, or
lift the scanning platform into
place.
Comm.Err Communication is
disconnected. (only in the
copy mode) Resend the fax or ask the
other party to send their fax
again.
Check with the other party if
thier machine is set correctly
for the required function.
COMM.ERROR
(xxxx) Communication is
disconnected. Resend the fax or ask the
other party to send their fax
again.
DESTINATION SET
BY MANUAL UP TO 16 Maximum number of
recipients (16) were
manually entered for
broadcasting or polling. Resend the document to
other recipients if necessary.
DRAM LOST The data in memory was lost
when the machine was
turned on. The machine automatically
returns to standby mode.
DUPLICATE SETTING The same recipient was
entered twice. Select a different recipient.
Fax Err The telephone line is busy or
there was no answer. (only
in the copy mode) Check if the recipient’s
number is correct or the
telephone cable is properly
connected.
