RX SETTING
Setting Item
Description
1 MEMORY RX MODE
Sets whether to store received faxes in memory at what
time, with password protection if required. (See Chapter 1,
“Advanced Fax Features,” in the Advanced Guide.)
2 INCOMING RINGS
Sets whether the machine is to ring for how many times
before it answers a call.
3 REDUCTION RX
Sets whether to reduce or truncate the image when a faxed
page is larger than the size of paper loaded.
ON
Reduces the image to fit on the size of paper loaded.
OFF
Retains the original size of the image.
CUT
Truncates the image.
4 RX PRINT
Sets whether to store all received pages in memory before
printing them out or print each page as it is received.
MEMORY RX
Print after all the pages of the document are received.
PRINT RX
Print each page as it is received.
5 RX MODE
Sets the fax receive mode. (See Chapter 1, “Advanced Fax
Features,” in the Advanced Guide.)
6 FOOTER
Sets whether to insert footer on received faxes to show the
machine’s fax number and the sender information.
7 RX RESTRICTION
Sets whether to reject calls from numbers not registered for
speed dialing. (See Chapter 1, “Advanced Fax Features,” in
the Advanced Guide.)
8 REMOTE RX
Sets whether to enable fax reception remotely using a
handset or telephone. (See Chapter 1, “Advanced Fax
Features,” in the Advanced Guide.)
