Sending with an alternative telephone network

Follow the procedure below to send using a registered long-distance service.

Load the document face down into the
Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).

See Loading documents, p. 3-3.
You can set the scanning resolution and contrast.
(see p. 6-2)

Press [Function].

Press [M].

Dial the receiving party’s fax number.

Press [Start/Copy].

The fax automatically dials the access code and ID
code registered under the [M] button.
Next, the fax dials the number of the receiving party
and connects the call.
In order to protect your codes, the access code and
ID code are not printed on activity reports.
