When [Film] has been selected for Image Source,
the crop size and position in the Preview Area is
automatically set to match the film guide. The crop
size and position changes automatically when the
Film Size setting is changed, or when the Image
Source Platen setting is switched to Film Adapter.
The crop size and position can also be adjusted
manually.
Auto Exposure
This function is available when Image Source is set to [Film]. When On,
this function automatically sets the exposure (light intensity and
compensation for each RGB channel) to match the brightness of the film
and produce the best scanned image. The default setting for this
function is On. Set it to Off when you wish to perform the exposure
compensation with an application program after the scan or if you wish
to achieve an under-exposed effect.
The auto exposure function is always on in basic mode.
To scan positives or to achieve an under-exposed effect,
switch to advanced mode and set this function to Off.
