6.
After installing the handlebar, sit on the vehicle,
apply the front brake, and push down on the
front end a few times to check if the handlebar
moves.
7.
Also, turn the handlebar from lock-to-lock to
check for looseness or binding.
STEERING HEAD INSPECTION
1.
Place the vehicle on a stand so that the front
wheel is off the ground.
2.
Hold the bottom of the forks with your hand and
inspect for any front to back or side to side play.
If play is detected, don’t ride the vehicle. Have
the steering stem slotted nut checked for
tightness or inspect the headset bearings for
wear by an authorized Cannondale
Motorsports Dealer.
