
The RF451/RF452 and CRVW3–RF451/RF452 usually communicate easily in lab conditions if they
are within about 100 feet of each other and if the RF451/RF452 is using a small 1/2 wave antenna.
This situation typically requires no antenna on the CRVW3–RF451/RF452.
Use
Device Configuration Utility
or
LoggerNet
to test radio connectivity. For details about using

NOTE:
If testing the radio connectivity of multiple CRVW3–RF451/RF452 devices, only turn on one
CRVW3–RF451/RF452 at a time when using this test method.
7.7.1.1 Configuring the base RF451/RF452
Radios are configured using
Device Configuration Utility
. See
(p. 28). The following
general procedure is used to configure an RF451/RF452 radio via
Device Configuration Utility
:
1. Start
Device Configuration Utility
from the
LoggerNet
toolbar Utilities category.
2. From the Device Type list, select the RF451/RF452. Information, instruction, and help are
provided on each screen.
