PTP 450 Configuration and User Guide
Task 6: Configuring radio parameters
3-54
pmp-0815 (August 2015)
Custom Frequencies tab of the 3.6 GHz/3.5 GHz BHM
In addition to the
Radio
tab, 3.6 GHz/3.5 GHz BHM has
Custom Frequencies
tab as
The custom frequency tab allows to configure custom frequency at 1 KHz raster. It
means that the custom frequencies can be at granularity of 1 KHz e.g. 3356.123 MHz,
3302.333 MHz, 3680.421 MHz etc..
Prior to 13.4 system release, the custom frequency raster was 50 KHz. Since
there is change in custom frequencies granularity, the following conditions should
to be taken care while downgrading the radio’s from 13.4 release :
-
If BHM is running with 13.4 and transmitting at 1 KHz precision
frequency, the downgrade will be aborted.
-
If BHS has ONLY 1 KHz precision frequencies selected in Custom Radio
Frequency Scan Selection List, the downgrade will be aborted. In order to
downgrade the radio successfully, at least one 50 KHz raster frequency
needs to be selected in Custom Radio Frequency Scan Selection List.
-
BHM and BHS has to be on at least release 13.4 to take advantage of this
feature.
Ensure that a customer frequency exists before using SNMP to set the radio to a
Custom Frequency.
