Configuration
Before connection over the radio hop is established, it is of high importance that the elements are
assigned a dedicated IP address, according to an IP plan for the total network.
By default, all elements have the same IP settings:
•
IP address: 192.168.1.1
•
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
In addition to setting the IP addresses, the following configuration steps should be performed to
establish basic connectivity. For a detailed description of these procedures, refer to the User Guide
for PTP 820F, and PTP 820G.

Enable the Radio Interfaces
•
Set the Radio Frequencies
•
Configure the License
•
Unmute the Radio
Note
After the new IP address is set, the contact with the element will be lost. In order to
reconnect, the PC must have an IP address within the same subnet as the element.
