3.5.1
Connecting UTP Cables
When facing the front panel of the 6H123-50 and 6H133-37, the RJ21
connectors represent Ethernet/Fast Ethernet segments 1 through 8 and
segments 1 through 6, respectively.
To connect a UTP segment to the 6H123-50 and 6H133-37, proceed as
follows:
1.
Ensure that the device connected to the other end of the segment is
powered ON.
2.
If using an RJ21 straight connector, plug it into the appropriate RJ21
port as shown in
Figure 3-2
.
