OPERATION
LCD Menu options for available searchable satellite beams, enable transmitter, stow, controller
restore to default settings and compass calibration routines and functions. Pressing on any
option in the operation menu will trigger that command to be performed.

BM01
(Find Satellite BEAM ID) Performs automatic satellite acquisition on the
Beam ID selected.
TE
TD
(Transmitter Enable) Enables the transmitter after locking onto the
designated satellite. Field toggles between TE & TD, default is TE.
(Transmitter Disable) Disables the transmitter after locking onto the
designated satellite. Field toggles between TE & TD.
STOW
Stows the antenna
CCR
Restores controller platform values to default settings based on platform
type and service type.
CPM
Manual calibration of compass (3 point Calibration)
CPA
Automatic compass calibration (4 point calibration)
CPR
Restores Compass to factory calibrated state
STOP
Stops the current operation

– Satellite Beam & Longitude (
BM
)
Automatically finds and locks onto the selected satellite beam signal by communicating with the
Satellite Modem and using the GPS coordinates, the compass heading and internal parameters
of the Satellite Modem. Typically, it takes approximately 3-
5 minutes to find satellite. The “Service
Type” must be selected and “Update Look-up Table” button applied for the correct Beam ID
information to propagate when using Tooway Modem Type. The HN_KA Modem Type has a
choice of using the beam table (BEAM_T) option or manually entering the satellite parameters
(Config) option.
