Tensioning/aligning the conveyor belt
Fig. 8-1: Tensioning/aligning the conveyor belt.
Requirements:
Switch off the front, farmyard or wheel loader and the machine and secure them against
starting up and rolling away inadvertently (see Chapter 6.4 "Switching off the front,
farmyard or wheel loader and securing it against inadvertent start-up and rolling away").
Work steps:
1.
Loosen the fixing bolts (a) on both sides.
2.
Loosen the lock nut (b) on the right and the left tensioning screw (c).
3.
Use a wrench to keep the lock nut (b) in place.
4.
Use another wrench to tighten/loosen the tensioning screw (c) evenly,
until the conveyor belt has a slack of 3 - 5 cm in the middle and
the clearance (x) between the square profile sections (d) is the same on both sides of
the conveyor belt.
The alignment of the conveyor belt is not straight unless the clearance x is identical on
both sides of the conveyor belt.
5.
Re-tighten both lock nuts (b) firmly.
6.
Re-tighten all fixing bolts (a) firmly.
The conveyor belt has been tensioned and aligned.
