A
Use of an external sensor (option)
Overview
It is possible to provide the register sensor
RSH-EC
with one or two
interfaces to allow the use of an external sensor. An
BST eltromat
camera
sensor can also be operated in conjunction with the RSH-EC with the
aid of an optional interface. We have thus designed five variants of the
RSH-EC
:
•
RSH-EC-E
: is equipped with one interface for the use of an external
sensor.
•
RSH-EC-EE
: is equipped with two interfaces for the use of an external
sensor.
•
RSH-EC-FE
: is equipped with one fibre-optical interface and one
interface for the use of an external sensor.
•
RSH-EC-EF
: is equipped with one interface for the use of an external
sensor and one fibre-optical interface.
•
RSH-EC-CS
: is equipped with one interface for the use of the
eltromat
camera sensor
RSC-DI
.
This chapter describes particularities when using one of these five
variants.
A.1 Safety instructions and ATEX identification
The ATEX identification as per chapter 1 and all safety instructions
mentioned in chapter 4 apply to the
RSH-EC-FE
/
RSH-EC-EF
variants!
The
RSH-EC-CS
,
RSH-EC-E
and
RSH-EC-EE
variants, however, do
not
comply with the ATEX directive. The
RSH-EC-CS
,
RSH-EC-E
and
RSH-
EC-EE
variants, however, do
not
comply with the ATEX directive.
Adhere to the following instructions on all variants:
• The housings of all five variants have
no
explosion protection
approval and must not be used within explosion protection
zones.
• When using an external sensor, make sure that the external
sensor has an explosion protection approval.
