Replacing RSH by RSH-EC
Review
The
RSH-EC
is the follow-up model of the
RSH
. Only little effort is
necessary to replace a defective
RSH
by a
RSH-EC
. To this effect, there
is an adapter console consisting of a register sensor
RSH-EC
, a junction
box for wiring and a mounting plate. All cables routed for the
RSH
can
still be used.
Only allow qualified expert personnel with knowledge about explosion
protection to carry out replacement!
Preparatory work:
Switch off the register controller.
Fig. 15.1
Perform the following operating steps:
Dismantle the housing of the defective register sensor.
For further information on this, please refer to the ope-
rating manual
RSH
(
see chapter DISMANTLING).
Important:
On no account dispose of the optical waveguide(s)
of the
RSH
! These will be re-installed into the
RSH-EC
. Leave
the optical waveguide(s) in the optical waveguide holder.
In order to disconnect the voltage supply cables from the
RSH
,
carefully push the cables 10 millimetres into the register sensor
housing, then undo the cable screw-connection.
Cut the two bus cables of the
RSH
at the cable screw-connection
outside
the
RSH
housing.
Screw-fit the adapter console firmly tothe existing holes
(4 M6 Allen screws).
Undo the four screws (M3) of the junction box lid and
remove the lid.
