Utility Curtailment
NOTE
: Utility Curtailment and Utility Saver functions are different than the Utility
Demand Response function described in the Owner’s Manual. Utility
Curtailment/Utility Saver uses the UTIL and Y2 (or equivalent) terminals on the
Evolution System compressor section control board to receive a signal from the
Utility, typically from the electric meter assembly, to signal a curtailment period.
This section describes the actions taken in response to that signal. See the
equipment installation instructions for more information on wiring the compressor
section control board to the Utility connections.
Utility Saver is used to force the equipment to a lower stage (low or off) when
activated by the utility company, typically during peak load times. This setup is
available only if the equipment has a utility saver input (refer to outdoor equipment
Installation Instructions). This setup controls the response of the equipment when
the utility saver input is active.
DISABLED
means that the curtailment function is
not active.
TURN OFF
means the outdoor unit is to be turned off when the
curtailment function is active.
LOW STAGE
means the outdoor unit will run in
lows stage when the curtailment function is active. After the selections are made,
touch
SAVE
.
