Charging with the NLG513 Charger
INFORMATION
The following chapters are only relevant for the use of the battery EVB1 in combination with the
BRUSA NLG513 charger. If you are using another charger then you can obtain this information from
the manufacturer.
10.4.1 Charging via the CAN
In order to drive the charge process via the CAN, the battery control plug and the charger must be completely wired
up. Furthermore, the NLG513 charger must be parameterised in such a way as to enable communication with the
battery. Parameter setting is carried out via the software
ChargeStar
, which is included in the delivery content of
the NLG513 charger.
The CAN parameters necessary for charging are included in the customer package. The CAN parameters must be
loaded into the software
ChargeStar
. After the CAN parameters have been successfully loaded, the CAN
communication between the battery and the charger must be established.
As soon as the mains plug is connected, the charger starts and regulates the charging process independently
using the uploaded CAN parameters.
