DESCRIPTION
Use this command to verify the data paths in the FCIP complex. All data path modes run tests by
comparing Fibre Channel frames or data packets transmitted from and received by the network
processor due to the designated loopback.
This command is supported only on the Brocade 7800/FX8-24 and FR4-18i platforms. The command
syntax is platform-specific and not all options are valid on all platforms. To specify the loopback mode on
the Brocade FR4-18i, use the
-path
option. To specify the loopback mode on the Brocade 7800/FX8-24,
use the
-lb_mode
option. Both options are mutually exclusive.
When issued on the Brocade 7800 or FX8-24, this command causes the switch or blade to reboot.
NOTES
The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric or Admin Domain restrictions that may be in
place. Refer to Chapter 1, "Using Fabric OS Commands" and Appendix A, "Command Availability" for
details.
