Patient data
In this area, preoperative patient data and data relevant to the surgery can
be entered.
►
Enter the patient data (name, first name, date of birth).
►
Select side for operation.
►
Select gender.
7.2
Physician profile
In this area, physician-specific profiles can be created, edited, deleted and
selected.
Note
The name of the surgeon can be entered or pre-set by selecting a profile.
7.3
Application/Application processes
Note
Applications can only be tests if all patient data is entered, see Chapter 7.1.

Select the tile for the relevant OrthoPilot
®
application software.
The application is started.
Note
Additional information on the applications and their workflows is available
in the instructions for use of the OrthoPilot
®
software application.
Configure application tiles.
Note
The edit mode must be activated to configure the application tiles, see
Chapter 7.5.
The application tiles can be configured as follows:

Enlarge/shrink tile (touch gesture)
■
Move tile (touch gesture)
■
Rename tile (entry via virtual keyboard)
Note
The edit mode must be deactivated and the user mode activated to then
start applications, see Chapter 7.5.

In this area, status information on the OrthoPilot

Note
If the OrthoPilot
®
4 wireless footswitch is note being used, the status dis-
play can be deactivated upon first commissioning.

error handling: select the button of the device.
There are two types of messages:

OrthoPilot
®
4 panel PC
Information, such as article number, serial number and battery status of
the OrthoPilot
®
4 panel PC is displayed via the “Panel PC” button.
Battery status
If the panel PC is being powered during operation via the integrated USV,
a warning is displayed. The battery of the USV is designed so that the panel
PC can be provided with power for at least 2 minutes in the event of a
power outage. If there is a power outage during application workflow, this
will be displayed in the application (for additional information see the
instructions for use of the applications).
If the cause of the power failure cannot be remedied within 5 min, all
power supply to the system will cease when the battery status is critical.

Check that the mains plug has not been pulled out inadvertently.
When the OrthoPilot
®
Elite
Hardware System is started up, the USV is auto-
matically function tested. If a bridging of voltage interruptions cannot be
guaranteed (such as due to a dead of defective USV battery), a warning is
displayed.
►
Only use the device when the battery has bee charge to a point that the
USV functionality can be guaranteed during operation.
