Lubricant
(Refer to the Maintenance Table in Chapter 8)
Use a high quality 4-stroke engine oil to prolong the
engine life. There are three different viscosity levels
suitable for the engine: SAE15W-40, SAE10W-30,
and SAE5W-30. Always select an engine oil with a
viscosity level suitable for the local air temperature.
Please refer to the following diagram.
SE or SF level SAE10W-30 4-stroke lubricant is
recommended for this motorcycle.
Note
Replace lubricant after 300km of driving or after
the first month, then after 1000km, then every
3000km thereafter. The oil volume for replacement
is 850ml or 1300ml for regular servicing.
The quality of engine oil used is a major factor
affecting the life of the engine. Replace engine oil
according to the maintenance period stated in the
Maintenance Table in Chapter 8. When driving in
dusty areas, the engine oil should be replaced more
frequently than the recommendations outlined in
the Maintenance Table.
Note
Poor quality lubricant may cause irretrievable
damage to the engine and significantly shorten the
service life if the engine.
