5.1
Dimensioning the components relevant for regeneration
For each application, it is necessary to check whether the
•
continuous regenerative power
•
peak regenerative power
•
regenerative energy
available from the application can be sufficiently absorbed by the bleeder
(brake resistance).
If the available regenerative energy and the regenerative energy from the
mechanics exceeds the absorbing capabilities of the bleeder built into the
unit, this capability can be increased on the DKC**.*-040-7-FW by using
the following hardware configurations.
•
A drive controller and auxiliary bleeder module connected via the DC
bus circuit. (1 DKC + 1 BZM)
•
Several drives connected via the DC bus circuit. (up to 6 DKCs)
•
Several drive controllers and an auxiliary bleeder modules connected
via the DC bus circuit. (up to 6 DKCs + 1 BZM)
