Internal arrays Xfer: • if there is a need to check the system, the internal arrays transfer
allows the instrument’s internal array confi guration and various other parameters to be
downloaded to a fi le. The operator can transmit this fi le to Boreal Laser Inc. for analysis.

Channel Parameters !Caution!:
RF Attenuation DAC: • when the automatic light control is enabled, the Digital Attenuation
Control (DAC) value is controlled by the GasFinderMC .
Otherwise it can be set by the user.
RF Attenuation DAC Minimum: • this is set at the factory and should not be changed.
Mux Potentiometer : • not currently used and set to 64.
External Phase Adj. : • not currently used and set to 0.
Channel # Power : • not currently used and set to ‘Disabled’.
Phase Shift : • not currently used and set to ‘Disabled’.
Cable Compensation: • this item is used to compensate for long coaxial cable runs from
the remote head or duct probe back to the CCU. At lengths under 100m the value is close
to 1.0 and increases towards 3.0 as the runs approach 1000m. The compensation values
are given in Appendix J.
Pressing ESC twice will return the user to the main display menu. The next item is:
System Menus:
Min. Accept. Light XXXX count: • the value below which the returning signal strength
(light count) is too low to use. Usually set to 1000.
Real Time Clock: • this submenu allows the user to set the Real Time Clock (RTC).
Pressing ENT cycles through the date and time entries, the up/down keys will change the
item, and ESC will exit the submenu, and will save the values .
Internal Temperature: • this item displays the internal temperature of the GasFinderMC .
It is usually 10
