or disable the channel. The output from the
GasFinderMC
is
now fi xed on channel 1 and will not switch between channels.
The various parameters for channel 1 can now be set.
8. Press the down key on the keypad, and the display will read:
To alter the distance, press the ENT key to get into the adjust
mode and press the or keys to increase or decrease the
distance. Pressing the ESC key will exit the adjust mode. If
the Remote Head is correctly aligned, the light value should
be between 4,000 and 12,000.
9. Press the down key on the keypad, and the display will read:
To change the path temperature press the enter key to get
into the adjust mode and the up or down arows to alter the
temperature. The value should be the average temperature
between the Remote Head or Duct Probe and the Retro.
10. Press the down key on the keypad, and the display will read:
Set this value to the Altitude of the path above sea level. If the
correct Absolute Pressure is known and entered, the nominal
altitude is automatically calculated and displayed. Entering
the correct Absolute Pressure is the prefered method.
11. Press the down key on the keypad, and the display will read:
Set this number to the Absolute atmospheric pressure of
the path. If the altitude is entered the nominal pressure is
automatically calculated and displayed.
12. Press the down key for the Light Control menus and press
the ENT key to enter. Sweep Light Min and Max can be left
as the defaults at 0 and 16,368. Enable the Auto Light Control
and set the Auto Light Min to 6,000 and the Auto Light Max
to 8,000. These fi gures may be altered for different gases or
different installations.

Note that the
GasFinderMC
does not measure the distance to the retrorefl ector. This distance,
in metres, must be entered manually. It is measured from the Remote Head window to the
Retro.
Repeat steps 6 to 12 when setting the other channels. For continuous operation press ESC
until the display shows ‘Calibrating’. After calibrating (1 - 3min) the system will cycle through
the enabled channels.
