ISCONNECT
Invoke the /D command at your resident port to disconnect two other ports. The
/D command cannot be used to disconnect your resident port. To disconnect your
resident port, issue the Resident Disconnect Sequence or wait for the Timeout
Period to elapse (if one is enabled).
Availability:
Supervisor only.
Format:
/D[/Y] xx [yy]
[Enter]
, where “/Y” optionally suppresses the “Sure?”
prompt and “xx” and “yy” are the numbers or names of the ports to be
disconnected (enter an asterisk “*” instead of a port name/number to disconnect
all ports).
Response:
Verbose:
“Are you Sure (y/n)?” prompt, followed by “Disconnected” if you
type “
Y
”.
Terse:
5, followed by 3 if you type “
Y
”.
Example:
To disconnect Port 2 from Port 3 without the “Sure?” prompt, access the
Command Mode from a third port with Supervisor command capability and type
one of the following commands:
/D/Y 2
[Enter]
or
/D/Y 3
[Enter]

UFFER
Erases data from the buffer for a specified port or several ports. Erased data
cannot
be recovered.
Availability:
Supervisor only.
Format:
/E[/Y] xx [yy]
[Enter]
, where “/Y” optionally suppresses the “Sure?”
prompt and “xx” and “yy” are the numbers or names of the ports whose buffers are
to be erased (enter an asterisk “*” instead of a port name/number to clear all port
buffers).
Response:
Verbose:
“Are you Sure (y/n)?” prompt, followed by “OK” if you type “
Y
”.
Terse:
5, followed by 0 if you type “
Y
”.
Example:
To clear the buffer for Port 3, access the Command Mode from a port
with Supervisor command capability, and type
/E 3
