5.2.1.1.4 Sum Scale
The sum scale allows creating a scale where the weight is given by the sum of the weighing
platforms indicated.
To create a sum scale, press
“ADD”, select “standard sum scale” and select which scales you want
to sum up.
Attention: the system is able to create and manage one single sum scale, therefore it is not possible
to create more than one sum scale (simple or configurable).
The Scale 'S' (sum) is then displayed, select it to view the following data:
SPECIFICATIONS
Number of sums per
second (if 0 is the sum
at each conversion)
Default value 10, indicates how many times the sum is calculated per
second. It is closely related to the reading time of the converter of the
summed scales.
Stability on the sum
Indicate how you want to obtain the stable weight signal:
sum scales, i.e. the stability signal is indicated when both scales are
stable;
internal, i.e. the stability signal is indicated only if the stability parameters
of the sum scale are respected
Sum scale tare
Indicate how the tare must be acquired by the sum scale:
sum scales, i.e. use the tares set by the scales used to create the sum;
internal, i.e. use the tare set by the sum scale
Tare maintenance
Indicate whether the tare must be maintained also for subsequent
weighing operations
STABILITY
Number of Stability
Divisions
0
Allows setting the number of divisions by which the
weight may vary while the weight stable signal is
maintained. On indicators subject to metrical
verification, this parameter must be set to 0 (zero) or 1.

Stability Signal
Very fast (5 e)
Speed at which the stable weight signal is displayed.
Indicates how many equal consecutive readings are
necessary to obtain the stable weight signal. These
consecutive readings may vary according to the
number of divisions indicated in the previous field. This
parameter is also related to the setting of the digital
filter parameter.
Fast (10 e)
Slow (20 e)
Very slow (40 e)
Digital Filter
No
Allows adding or not a digital filter. It actually enables
the addition or not of a software processing for filtering
the output values from the analogue/digital converter.
