5.1

OPC Compliance Certificate

The OPC foundation offers members of the organisation an compliance test tool. This tool tests the
functionalities and interfaces of the OPC server. For OPC clients is no test tool available.

Testing a server should be done by competent personal only, besides the results could be forged.

Example:
In one test case, the OPC compliance tool writes variables in the OPC Server, reads them afterwards
back and compares the values. 
If these test variables would be PLC variables, which changes cyclically in the PLC, these test case
would be failed.
