Configuration of map display
The configuration depends upon the cur-
rent operating mode of the Traffic Assist.
Map display without route guidance
If navigation is deactivated, almost the en-
tire area of the touchscreen is filled by the
map display. An icon for opening the
toolbar is continuously displayed in the
bottom right corner.
If the current position can be determined
via GPS, this is indicated by a circle with
a red arrow head.
Map display with route guidance

When navigation is active, your current
position is displayed on the map via the
Position icon.
Depending on the settings in the options
mode, the Position icon will remain sta-
tionary and the map will move or vice ver-
sa.
The information box at the right edge of
the display shows your current speed and
the altitude in metres. The information
box display can be activated/deactivated
in the settings as described under "The
Map info key" on page 57.

Note:
Following the traffic lane recommenda-
tions allows you to perform the next driv-
ing manoeuvre without changing lanes.
