Configuring a HSSI Port as a Resilient NNI Link
To configure a HSSI port as an RNNI link, perform the following steps:
Site Manager Procedure
You do this
System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose Circuits.
2. Choose Add Circuit.
The Add Circuits window opens.
3. Click on a connector.
The Configuration Manager
provides a default circuit name in
the Circuit Name box. The default
name identifies the circuit type,
the slot number of the link
module, and the number of the
physical connector on the link
module that supports the circuit.
(For example: The circuit name
H51indicates a HSSI circuit
supported by the HSSI link
module in slot 5 and the physical
connector.)
The WAN Protocol window opens.
4. Choose FR Switch

The DLCMI Configuration window
opens.
5. At the DLCMI CONFIGURATION window,
set the following parameters:

DLCMI Interface Type: NNI
•
DLCMI Management Type: Annex A
Switch
•
Bidirectional Enable: Enabled
6. Click on Saved
.
The Configuration Manager
window opens.
7. Click on the HSSI port you just configured.
The Edit Connector window
opens.
8. Click on Edit Line.
