The Technician Interface is a command-line interface that requires knowledge of
command syntax, the management information base (MIB), and the Simple
Network Management Protocol (SNMP). See Using Technician Interface
Software for more information.
Hardware Description
The Model 5782 VNR (
Figure 1-5
) consists of a metal module frame to which is
fastened the router printed circuit board with the flash card connector, the
backplane interface connector, and the plastic front panel.

The assembly includes inserter/extractor levers and captive retaining screws at the
top and bottom of the module front panel.
Each Model 5782 VNR occupies one slot in the Model 5000BH chassis. The
router module connects directly to the Model 5000BH ATM backplane.
