Selecting the Ethernet Type
To specify the Ethernet type for your computer:
1. Choose Setup > Ethernet Type from the Custom window
(Figure A-1).
The Ethernet Type dialog box opens (Figure A-9).

2. Click on Ethernet/DIX (if it is not already selected) and
click on OK.
If you want to communicate with systems on a different subnet, go to
the next section and define a default gateway. If not, go to
Disabling
Trap Administration on page A-13.
All Bay Networks devices require this setting.
Defining the Default Gateway
A default gateway is a router that lets a subnet talk to other networks or
any indirectly connected subnet. The gateway must reside on the same
subnet as the computer running Quick2Config Annex. If the Annex you
plan to configure resides on another network, and you do not supply
default gateway information, Quick2Config Annex will be unable to find
the Annex.
