NOTE!
Pin 1 and pin 2 can be connected if the device and the digital inputs are supplied by
the same
or
different
power supplies with identical ground.
Pin 2 must be connected with the ground of the power supply of the digital inputs if it
has a different ground potential.
Pin 1 is the looped through ground of the device power supply.
