4 DOF with Gimbals
A 4-DOF WAM Arm can be outfitted with optional 3-axis non-motorized gimbals that give
precise angular feedback. The kinematics of the first 4 joints is identical to a 4-DOF WAM Arm.
The kinematics for the additional 3 axes is shown in Figure 44.
