Run the ground wire from the Ground connection at the
Wiegand control panel to the
G
terminal on the Terminal
Block (TB1, see Figure 8) in the Reader. For standard
Wiegand control panels, the Ground wire is black. Ensure
that the termination is secure, but not over-tight. Route
cables through the conduit chase at the bottom of the
Reader.
Step 5:
Run the Data One wire from the Wiegand control panel to
D1
on the Terminal Block. For standard Wiegand control
panels, the Data One wire is white.
Step 6:
Run the Data Zero wire from the Wiegand control panel to
D0
on the Terminal Block. For standard Wiegand control
panels, the Data Zero wire is green.
Note: If Data One and Data Zero are connected
backwards, the data will be garbled.
Step 7:
Screw the white terminal block down.
Step 8:
Reconnect the TX cable connector.
Step 9:
Ensure the Wiegand control panel is wired correctly.
Step 10:
Enter the Tag numbers into the panel’s database
according to the panel manufacturer’s instructions.
